★★ WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU BOOK ★★
✔ Central, authentic neighborhood: Third Ward is historic and actively redeveloping, more urban energy than suburban quiet. Guests who want a central base love it; if you'd prefer a quieter, more manicured setting, ask us about our other Houston homes
✔ First-floor unit, but the entrance at the back is up a short flight of steps
✔ Units above: in a historic building, footsteps and some sound from upstairs are normal
✔ Annex door: a door connects to the neighboring unit. It stays locked throughout your stay, but some sound or smells can travel through, as with a shared wall
✔ Shared A/C: message us if you'd like the temperature adjusted, since changing it yourself affects both units
✔ Shared water heater: hot water can take 5–10 minutes to reach full temperature and runs warm rather than very hot; running the sink briefly before showering helps
✔ Tight assigned parking, best for a compact or mid-size vehicle
✔ The driveway, parking area, and dumpster are shared with other building guests
✔ Starter supplies cover your first 24–48 hours; longer stays should plan to restock
✔ No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors
✔ No on-site pool or gym; Emancipation Park's free public gym is a 3–5 min drive
✔ Quiet hours: 9:00 PM–8:00 AM
✔ ID verification through our guest portal is required before check-in details are sent

★★ AVAILABLE ADD-ONS ★★
✔ Mid-stay cleaning
✔ Early check-in or late checkout, subject to availability
✔ Pets considered with advance approval

★★ ARRIVAL & ACCESS ★★
✔ Your apartment is fully private, with no shared interior spaces; the annex door to the neighboring unit stays locked
✔ Self check-in by smart lock from 4:00 PM, however late you land
✔ Your access code and check-in instructions are sent once you complete pre-arrival verification through our guest portal
✔ The driveway, parking area, and dumpster are shared with other building guests

★★ OFF-SITE AMENITIES ★★
✔ Emancipation Park, less than a mile away (3–5 min drive). Founded in 1872 by formerly enslaved Houstonians to celebrate Juneteenth, it's the oldest public park in Texas.
✔ Free public gym with a weight room and cardio equipment, plus basketball and tennis courts; ages 18+ with valid photo ID
✔ Seasonal outdoor pool, May–September, roughly 1–7 PM
✔ Online registration required; no showers or lockers; closed Sundays. Check the park's website for current hours.

★★ PARKING & TRANSPORTATION ★★
A car or rideshare is the easiest way to get around. METRORail's Purple Line runs nearby toward Downtown, where you can transfer to the Red Line for the Museum District and NRG Park.

✔ One assigned parking space in the main shared driveway, best for a compact or mid-size vehicle
✔ Street parking on Blodgett may be available, subject to posted signage
✔ Backup: the TSU paid garage is one block away

Traffic, weather, and events may add time.
