A few booking basics, so nothing catches you off guard.

• Starter supplies are stocked for your first 24–48 hours: toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, trash bags, basic toiletries, coffee/tea. Not included: cooking oil, condiments, foil, food storage containers, bottled water, dish pods — worth grabbing on your first grocery run if you'll need them.
• Damage protection: Guests with no review history, or with reviews averaging under 4.3 stars, will be asked to provide a refundable security deposit or purchase a damage waiver as a condition of check-in.
• Gatherings: Small get-togethers are welcome with prior approval — a $150 minimum covers extra cleaning and trash. Unauthorized parties or events are a different story (see fees below).
• Pets: Welcome with prior approval — small pets under 30 lbs preferred ($20/night/pet), larger breeds considered if crated when unattended, multiple pets need approval in advance. Service animals are always welcome with documentation; ESA pets still pay standard pet cleaning fees.
• A few fees that matter (full terms in your guest agreement): unauthorized parties ($1,000 min), smoking ($600 min), unauthorized pets ($500/pet), late checkout past 1 PM without approval ($50/hr). These exist so the home stays in the condition every guest deserves to find it in.

The hosts were attentive and quickly responded to my inquiries and comments. The house is lovely and was in a perfect spot to access the Sam Houston Tollway and I-10. Each room in the house was appropriately apportioned with different themes. We felt comfortable staying in the house and plan to return.
